Friday's Letters

Well, it's that time again.

Dear 90s,
I'm kind of stuck on your music lately. I don't know what it is. I think it reminds me of being a pre-teen and being able to sit around and listen to music all day and basically not do anything else unless I wanted to. Ah, the good old days.

Vogue Single Version by Madonna on Grooveshark

Dear Hair,
You suck. You used to be awesome (at least I thought you were), but then you went and got all hormonal on me after Carter and you still haven't recovered. I really don't appreciate having a little front mohawk, a mullet and a receding hair line. It's kind of the pits.

Dear Head Bands,
You could fix my hair issues, but you insist on giving me a headache after about two minutes. Why must you press on the sides of my head just so? It's like you find these little pressure points and cripple me. It's not fun feeling beaten up by a head band. Even you little cloth ones bug me after a while.

Dear Hair Spray,
Why must you make my hair crunchy? You say you won't, but you lie.

Apparently there's nothing that can be done about my hair issues. I should just throw on a baseball cap and call it a day.

Dear well meaning 20-somethings who complain about too many baby pictures on Facebook,
I just want to take this time to apologize to you that you are forced to wade through pictures of cute babies on Facebook (oops), on blogs (oops), twitter, instagram (oops again) and basically every other social media outlet everywhere. I'm sorry you see us (moms with babies) at the grocery store, at Target and at basically every other establishment.

It must suck to be reminded so often of how lame you're going to be one day. I'm sorry we haunt your  Facebook and your blog, but sometimes we want to be reminded of the lack of lameness we used to possess.

*So if you follow me on instagram, you've already seen these. Yeah guys, I'm on instagram now (amy_nyabb).

headbands kill me too! I love the way they look, but after an hour I'm in pain and I feel stuck wearing it because my hair will have a headband bump! aahh!

Don't get me started on after pregnancy hair issues... I'm pretty sure I'm going to be bald soon! Found you on the link up :)

oh those horrid hand bands and their headaches. I seriously thought maybe that was just me ... glad to know I'm not the only one. I used to own about 25 cute head bands. Now? I own 0.

yes.. i have a love/hate relationship with headbands!

I used to hate headbands too, they would either slip off the back of my head or give me a headache...you should try BicBands! Www.bicbands.com...they're SO comfortable and don't slip off my head because they're backed with velvet-y material, and you can get them in different widths based on your preference.

I'm one of the weird ones who actually likes seeing other people's cute babies...haha.

Visiting from the Friday Letters link up! :)

Oh 90's music. I used to listen to the radio at night when I was younger and I have this quirky way I can remember song lyrics like the first couple times I've heard a song, so I pretty much know all these 90's song lyrics and consequently, love them. Actually, what's not to love? I totally agree about headbands! And I'm okay with massive amounts of baby pictures as a 20-something - it gives me something to look forward to! Also I work with babies at a daycare, so I guess I pretty much love them anyway ; )

90s music is one of my problems these days too, something about not even hearing a Nsync song and it automatically popping into my head. Baby pictures are awesome and I'm a 21 year old lol. They are so fun and oh so adorable!

I hear you on the hair thing. I had my first baby well over a year ago, and although her hair is silky and curly and lovely (awww) mine is no longer silky, hardly curly (more like frizzed out) and far from lovely. At first I thought it was that I no longer have time to care for it properly, but even on my pampering days, it still looks lackluster :( Ah well, small sacrifice I guess.

it seems that almost every mom has some kind of hair issue post pregnancy. i think it's because during your hair is FAB and afterwards it's like someone took your birthday away. that's i how i felt anyway :( but i'd give up perfect hair for my bebe any day, so whatevs.

It does seem super common! And yeah, your hair is totally fab during pregnancy, then the first 2-3 months you're too tired to care, and just as you get over being a zombie, BAM all your hair's gone. I'd give up good hair any day for my son too, but to be truly honest, I'd prefer to have both ; )

I don't know what's happening with my hair, but it's kind of growing curly... but only in the front which is ridiculous because it makes me seem lazy tat I didn't curl/straighten half of my hair. Also, try dove hairspray... it doesn't make my hair crunchy so maybe it'll work on yours! Can't wait to get to know you through your blog! Hope you had a great weekend!

My hair is all kinds of crazy too!~ And I just got a crappy haircut so I have been trying hairbands and they hurt my ears too! WTF?

You think hairband companies would have figured it out by now....

Definitely a small sacrifice, but it sucks nonetheless! ; )
