New House, Tattoo, Film, Hair, Bear

So since I've been gone a lot has happened over here and we have a lot to catch up on.

1. We bought a house (and moved in). Yaaayyy. (pictures to come!)

2.  I got my first tattoo (and Carter did too!) (and my mom, and my sister, and 5 more of our closest family friends). It was maybe the greatest tattoo day in the history of the world. (Although I think childbirth may be slightly less painful than a foot tattoo).

If you're one of those people that doesn't like feet (and I understand that), I apologize.

Playing before getting his first "real" tattoo

3. I did my first makeup job for film!! It was for a trailer for a movie called Founder's Day. If you have even an ounce of kindness in your heart, go like their Facebook page and follow them on Twitter! I may have never had such fun in my entire life.

4. Carter got his first real hair cut! I'm still fighting back tears because of this one. I was loving the little-bit-long-and-shaggy look, but Carter had enough. He was getting way too sweaty and told me, in technical terms, that it was "too uckies." So a hair cut it was and he knows he's one good lookin' boy. (But I won't be entering him into a Gerber photo contest and asking you to vote).

5. We have a pet black bear. Not by choice. He comes every once in a while; he pops Carter's purple ball (we're on the fourth one), pops his little red donkey the horse ride-on thing (what's that Imaginarium toy really called?) and throws our trash all over our back yard. My father-in-law has since built what we refer to as our "trash condo"--this awesome mini trash holder built with some extra siding from our house and almost the same roofing. Never thought I could love a trash receptacle so much, but I do. Hoping it keeps our little bear friend away for a bit (at least until he decides to hibernate). You don't think bears are scary, until one's right there looking at you through your living room slider.

And I've been doing lots and lots of makeup. Special effects too! Photo dump at the end of the post!!

What have you been up to? I have missed this place! I decided I have had enough with writing blog posts in my head (which happens daily) and that I needed to do it for real. So here I am!

And if you're not a fan of the gory(ish). Be done!
