Naturally Speaking

So I'm proud to say we use all natural cleaners everywhere in our house. I dislike everything about chemical cleaners, the top reasons being:

+the smell
+the fact that they make my asthma worse
+the idea that no matter how baby proof our home is, that somehow C could get into them

there are a million other terrible things about them (bad for the environment, who even knows what is actually in them since they don't have to be labeled, et cetera, et cetera).

BUT I'm having the WORST time with dish washing detergent. All of our kitchen appliances are great with the exception of our dish washer. It's a really cheap one that someone who manages the condos around here chose to save money, apparently. It needs all the help it can get and I think I'm going to have to get a "real" detergent for it because I'm sick of having to wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Pointless! I do secretly want there to be a miracle and have a natural detergent work, but I'm doubting it since I've tried about a hundred.

Here are some of my favorite cleaners that actually do work!

1. Ecos free and clear laundry detergent.
2. Dr. Bronner's baby mild unscented all purpose soap
3. BabyGanics all purpose cleaner
4. Earth's Best nursery wipes (great for cleaning off C's toys after he slobbers all over them!)

Now, of course I could use vinegar and baking soda for pretty much everything. But how much fun would that be? I like change. I can't use the same thing every day.

I use the same laundry detergent! I love the smell and it cleans just as well as Tide or any non-natural detergent. ( I posted about it here: http://youandmearewe.blogspot.com/2012/06/laundry-tips-and-tricks.html )

I'm loving your natural ideas. I, too, am working toward a healthier life for my family and am living as naturally as we can. I'm your newest follower, so thanks!
